Who are we?
On 20th March 2010 our lives changed forever when our son George was blue-lighted to A&E, paralysed on the right hand side, unable to communicate with us, barely conscious. It hit for no reason overnight, and has turned his life (and ours) upside-down leaving him with complex, uncontrollable epilepsy and cognitive difficulties.
Fast forward almost 10 years and we want to thank an amazing charity who have kept us going in the most difficult of times. Shooting Star Chase has provided respite for George and support for all of the family keeping us all calm and as sane as possible throughout the years.
We have decided to run a year of fundraising all in aid of Shooting Star. We are starting on St George’s Day 2019 and running up to the 10th anniversary on 20th March 2020. This will incorporate many events, challenges and fun, culminating in a grand party of thanks - more to be announced nearer the date!
On this site you can read our blog, find out what events you can take part in over the year, read press and media interest, sign up to one of our quiz nights or simply donate to our running events including the Vitality 10k, the British 10k, and the Sunrise Walk!
